Organised by the ISTT – International Society for Trenchless Technology, the International No-Dig Auckland recognised BESSAC and HDI – HORIZONTAL DRILLING INTERNATIONAL in the “Trenchless Project – New Installations category” for their INELFE HVDC electrical interconnection project.

An exemplary project helping to connect France and Spain through decarbonised electricity, combining two trenchless technologies: microtunnelling and horizontal directional drilling (HDD).
  • In France : four microtunnels measuring 305, 1,200, 1,290  and 1,355 metres, the latter setting a French record for the longest pipe-jacking drive.
  • In Spain : four horizontal directional drilling operations ranging from 1,100 to 1,200 metres.

Congratulations to all the teams involved in this achievement and to our partners RTE Réseau de Transport d’Electricité, Red Eléctrica and Prysmian.
